ICE의 새로운 규정에 관한 소식을 알아보기 위해 블로그에 들어오시는 분들이 많아서

어제 올린 소식에 이어 오늘 짤막하게 학교에서 들어온 이메일들을 공유합니다.

 

 

미국 현지 시각 7월 8일 오전 11시 (한국 기준 새벽 1시) 업데이트.

하이브리드 수업을 담당하신 교수님으로부터 오늘 아침 업데이트 이메일이 들어왔습니다.

 

Hi everyone,

 

You are receiving this email because you have registered to take XXX course this fall. This email is for international graduate students in my class who concern the ICE's announcement that students with F-1 visa must enroll at least one course with a face-to-face component in order to stay in the U.S. in the fall semester. 

 

XXX is officially listed as 'Face-to-Face PLUS Remote Scheduled', which meets the ICE's criteria for 'course with a face-to-face component', according to the ISO. I wish this relieves your concern and stress about the new policy.

Dear all,

 

I hope you received by now and have read the email from ISO. I am writing a quick email to let you know about our current plans.

 

Quite a few of you are registered for XXX, which is “remote scheduled plus face to face.” This means that you meet the requirements for keeping F-1 visa and stay in the Fall semester without further action on our part.

 

We can reassign additional grad courses to this modality while keeping options for students who want or need to stay remote and hence keeping everyone safe with minimal impact on schedules and no major changes to plans.

 

*For those of you who are not taking dissertation hours and not enrolled for XXX, can you please send me your list of courses? We will reassign courses from remote scheduled to remote plus face to face but were asked to minimize changes.
